Kooks Creamery...

Stand aside all Lava Toasts because Molten Lava Cookies are the ‘IN’ thing right now! Yes, you have not heard wrongly! The Molten Lava Cookies at KOOKS Creamery topped with their hand-made ice cream have already captured the hearts of many since their opening not less than two months ago. For a new café like KOOKS, the results are already astonishing!

Sue Lynn, the owner of KOOKS, gave up her job as a designer and decided to venture into her passion for baking where she spent most of her time travelling to draw inspirations. Besides coming out with the Molten Lava Cookies and ice cream herself, she also played the role of designing the whole outlook of the café.

Located at the heart of Serangoon, KOOKS Creamery is a small and unpretentious café that sells two types of Molten Lava Cookies (Chocolate & Matcha) and a wide range of hand-made artisan ice cream at a really affordable price. I guess you can find me and my friends at KOOKS very often since I’m staying around the vicinity and I’m a big fan of dessert. Hurray to another dessert place to hang out with families and friends!

In frame, Signature Chocolate Molten Lava Cookie with Nogurt Ice Cream & Matcha Lava Cookie with Brown Butter Ice Cream. Also, expect to find interesting ice cream flavours such as Lychee Raspberry, Speculoos and Rock Melon.

Signature Chocolate Molten Lava Cookies with Nogurt Ice Cream // $8.50

This is worth gaining the calories. The chocolate is rich and creamy but not too jelat. The Nogurt Ice Cream was really tasty and flavoursome. I also liked the texture because of the berries and nuts in the ice cream itself. It was really quite addictive! I could eat this all by myself!

Chocolate-lovers will definitely go crazy for this. Just imagine the hot chocolate that is flowing out from the cookie!

Matcha Lava Cookie with Brown Butter Ice Cream // $8.50

This combination is insane! First, the Brown Butter ice cream was not too sweet and has a subtle buttery aftertaste that lingers in my mouth which I really liked. Second, the matcha was rich but not too overpowering and the consistency was good. It would have been better if the matcha had a subtle bitter aftertaste but it's good the way it is now. Third, the cookie is super soft and not too floury and it goes so well with the Brown Butter Ice Cream. Best combination ever!

The Matcha Lava Cookie was my favourite and I ordered it again during my second visit to KOOKS! I had the Pistachio Ice Cream to go with the Matcha Lava Cookie. Can't wait for my next visit to KOOKS already!

Thank you Sue Lynn for the great hospitality and expect to see me visiting your place very often. Also, thanks Sophie for the gifs!
